What was the first snowboard called?

    It looks like the first snowboard was invented by a a chemical gas engineer named Sherman Poppen in 1964 in Muskegon, Michigan. He invented the “snurfer” for his daughter’s birthday by bolting two skii’s together and tying a rope at the nose.
