What was the first example of permaculture that we know about?

    It was developed by two Australians, David Holmgren and Bill Mollison. Mollison worked on his mother’s, and later his own, property, integrating the Permaculture concepts that the two had developed. They both traveled extensively in the 1970s to teach communities about Permaculture.
