What was the first bird to fly?

    The first bird to fly was the archaeopteryx, considered by many to be the first bird period.  It lived roughly 150 million yeras ago in the Jurassic period.  It had feathers and wings like your average bird today, but it also had a full set of teeth and a long tail.  It could grow up to 1.6 feet in length.
