The climate during the Roman Empire would not differ much from the climate found in modern-day Rome. Rome enjoys a Meditteranean climate that is very comfortable for the majority of the year. However, the climate might have been temporarily altered around 535 resulting from a possible volcanic eruption at Mount Krakatoa.
