What vegetables are high in carbohydrates?

    Root vegetables like sweet potatoes, carrots and corn are high in carbohydrates.

    Carrots, corn, peas, potatoes, and lima beans are high in carbohydrates. Foods high in carbs are great for athletes who burn through a lot of calories everyday. Hope this helps!

    This website has a list of the vegetables (and fruits) with the highest carbohydrate content.  It also includes the average amount of carbs each contains. For example, a medium sized Russett potato has around 37 grams of carbs, and beets can have just under 9 grams.

    Fruits are also very high in carbs, although they are the “good” carbs that a body needs to produce energy. Some fruits high in carbs are: tangerines, cherries, grapes, pomegranates, mangos, figs, and bananas.
