mostly smoke and volcanic gases were produced during the stone age. early humans made fire and burned wood to keep warm and have light. other than the wood they were burning, volcanoes were the only other large polluter of the stone age as they released the most greenhouse gases. bones and other material the early humans used were all organic and natural, so anything littered wouldve decomposed by now meaning there was little if any ground pollution.
