Entomophagy or the practice of eating insects is a common practice in many of the world’s cultures. Many insects, including crickets, grasshoppers, spiders, ants and scorpions are eaten whole, often roasted or deep fried. Other regulars include the larvae or grubs of different beetles. They are commonly sold at markets in many nations from Asia to the Americas.
Some species of grasshopper, locusts, termites, beetles, crickets serve as food to man.
