I’ve had my best luck with romaines or Boston/buttercrunch varieties. Iceberg would probably last well too, but its nutritional value is minimal. These are robust-leafed lettuces, which is why I think they’d last a while. Speaking of nutritional value, though, it’s best to consume lettuce sooner rather than later. The more wilted and older it becomes, the less nutrients it will provide you with.
From personal experience, I have found that iceberg lettuce lasts the longest. I can buy a head of lettuce over the weekend, and it will last me to the next weekend without wilting or turning brown. If you are looking for lettuce that lasts long in the fridge, I would go with iceberg.
