What type of fish in a lake does the most environmental damage?

In terms of invasive species, one of the fish with the most potential to cause environmental harm in North America is the Channidae (Snakehead). All species of Snakeheads are native to Africa or Asia and are extremely large and aggressive. Not only is it an aggressive hunter, but it will eat just about anything, from plants to mammals to other, larger fish. Snakeheads have already been found in the US, most frequently in the Potomac River. If they were to make it to an isolated lake or pond, they would easily out-compete the native species like bass and trout, completely restructuring the water’s delicate food web.
