Everyday people are exposed to radiation, natural background radiation can come from the ground, air, food, building materials, cosmic rays, and even elements that naturally occur in the human body. There are some jobs where you could be exposed to radiation on a daily basis. People that work in the nuclear industry and people that work around x-ray equipment found in medical facilities and laboratories are exposed to ionizing radiation. The particular job that exposes you the most to radiation really depends on the amount of interaction with radioactive materials or equipment and the safety measures that are in place to protect people from radiation. Someone that works at a nuclear plant has the potential to be exposed to a very large amount of radiation, where safety measures are in place to protect them as much as possible.
