what type of force can be act on structures?

There are many different types of structures and different forces that act on the various structures. Some examples of forces that can act on structures are static load, dynamic load, internal resistance, tension, compression, shear force, and torsion. Each is very different from the rest, so it’s kind of hard to summarize in a few words. I strongly suggest checking out this website because it details each force and shows animations to help envision each.
