What type of fish is consumed by humans the most?

    In the US, it is shrimp and canned tuna. I assume this is pretty much the same in most parts of the world since these two species are relatively abundant and easy to harvest. I would also say salmon because it seems like a lot of cuisines feature salmon in their dishes, so there is demand for it.
