The price at the pump today is a product of many different factors including any hiccups in transportation anywhere along the route, refining, not to mention geopolitical relations. That being said the price varies from batch to batch of gasoline that is delivered to your local gas station. One thing is for sure that petroleum products in the ground are getting much harder to find and it will only get more expensive to get it out and transport it to our cars. How long will that take? No one really knows but we do know it won’t last forever.
