Tianjin Eco City is a proposed joint China-Singapore development, the construction of which will be guided by principles of sustainability and minimal environmental impact.

Located in China and designed by Surbana Urban Planning Group, the city will house 350,000 residents in seven different ‘districts’, interconnected by a light-rail system. The city will utilize a variety of sustainable technology, including wind and solar power, as well as water desalination and rain-water harvesting. Construction is scheduled for completion by 2020.
Tianjin Eco City is a development project located in Tianjin, a city southeast of Beijing, in northwestern China. Its aim is to create a working model of sustainable urban development. According the official website, the goals of the eco-city include energy-efficiency, green transportation and building, ecological/urban balance, sustainable water & waste management, economic vibrancy, social harmony, and heritage conservation. Construction began in 2008, and continues today.
