Gary Nelville, a footballer from the UK, has unveiled his plans for an underground ecobunker home, that has been playfully called the Teletubby House (due to its resemblance to the house in the children’s “Teletubbies” series). It is planned to be built in an environmentally-friendly fashion, with certain “eco-features” (wind turbines, etc.).
However, it is also being built on protected “green belt” land, which is somewhat controversial, since (even though the house is planned to be environmentally friendly) construction on green belt land seems to defeat the purpose of having protected land.
