Giraffes are the world’s tallest animal, and within that group the tallest sub-species is the Rothschild giraffe, which can reach heights of 6.096 meters (20 feet) tall. The Rothschild is extremely rare and is in fact on the verge of extinction with only 670 individuals left. Rothchilds are unique as giraffes because they do not have the spotted pattern on their legs.
