A covalent bond is the strongest known bond. This is the bond that holds two atoms together and forms when two atoms share an electron. In everyday life without the influence of outside, human forces, these bonds are never broken. Hydrogen and ionic bonds are the opposite of covalent bonds and are also called “weak bonds”. These can be easily broken under normal conditions like change in temperature or pressure.
