Step farming is usually done up in the mountains. This agricultural method not only maximizes space, it also increases land productivity to yield quality crops. If you use a piece of land for a long time, eventually the soil will be drained of nutrients. With step farming you rotate between different steps. Farmers can plant some crops on one step first – harvest them once they are ready, and the next season they can use the following step to repeat the same procedure as they work further along the steps.
