    The state with the most nuclear power plants in the United States is Illinois. There are six nuclear plants in Illinois, they are Braidwood; Byron; Clinton; Dresden; LaSalle County; and Quad Cities. In second place is Pennsylvania, with five nuclear power plants (Beaver Valley; Limerick; Peach Bottom; Susquehanna; Three Mile Island.) A few states have four operating nuclear power plants.
