    The moose is the largest deer.  Moose can reach a height of 6.5 feet at their shoulder.  The males’ antlers can span 6 feet in length.  This deer species can be found in the American states of Maine, Northern New England States, Montana, Wyoming, upstate New York, and Alaska.  See the map below for moose ranges.

    In the chance that the question meant which state has the biggest deer population, Texas would be the answer. Texas has roughly 4 million deer, which is twice as many as any other state.

    Buggirl is correct, the moose is the biggest type of deer species.  Another interesting fact is that the moose is the state animal of Maine.
