What is the source of all energy in the atmosphere?

I’m not entirely sure what you mean – we don’t typically think of atmospheric energy. It’s certainly true that the atmosphere has heat, which is a form of energy. This heat comes from the solar radiation from the sun. Atmospheric gases trap the heat and that’s why Earth is habitable. Incidentally, most forms of energy we use ultimately are derived from the sun – the food we eat was produced with photosynthesis, which uses solar energy. So are fossil fuels, which are simply highly compressed biomass.
