The difficulty in teaching climate change in school is to understand that just because there are two sides to a politicized issue, doesn’t mean both sides are equally valid. Given the prominence of climate change denial in the U.S., it is important to recognize that such a movement exists, and to discuss it, however it shouldn’t be presented as equally valid to climate science, since it is not, well, science.
