What is so important about Copenhagen?

Copenhagen is a landmark for a variety of aspects.

For Denmark alone, it is the center of commerce and culture. From a global perspective, it is critical to the development of organic products, as it is a chief exporter in the industry. One out of every 10 food purchases in Copenhagen are organic.

The UK Government sees Copenhagen as a key part of their Kyoto Protocol, an effort to get cities and countries across the planet to begin the fight against climate change in the little amount of time that we have to do so. Because of its strong environmental dedication, Copenhagen is an example of how other cities in the world will have to develop in order to adapt to the struggles of the future.

It was the first city to institute an environmental law in 1973.
