The issue with the chamber of commerce’s stance on climate change is the fact that the chamber is questioning the validity of climate change. Many environmentalists and companies have found this to be an extreme reaction, since so much evidence confirms it. This has resulted ins some major entities, such as P&G, leaving the chamber of commerce. Of course, this must be viewed from the stance of people wanting to make money. The chamber of commerce is taking this stance to avoid the climate change bill recently passed by the house, likely because of the negative economic impact the bill will have. In addition, the companies who are leaving the chamber might just be doing so because they think that is what their customers want.
