‘Snowmageddon’ is what president Obama called the storm that hit Washington this winter. Washington received so much snow that many of the roads, schools, and businesses were shut down. Blizzards hit setting record temperatures and snow fall.
It was considered one of the worst blizzards in Washington’s history. Almost 18 inches of snow was recorded at Reagan National Airport, the fourth – highest storm total for the city. A new record was established at the Dulles International Airport at 32 inches. From Pennsylvania to New Jersey, the region was under at least 2 feet of snow and parts of northern Maryland had 3 feet as well.
