    The Malayan tiger is the smallest mainland tiger species.  Males average weights of about 120 kilograms, and females average weights of about 100 kilograms.  The Sumatran tiger is the smallest island-dwelling tiger, with body weights of as low as 75 kilograms.

    The Sumatran tiger is the smallest species of tiger and it only lives on the Sumatra island of Indonesia.  It is critically endangered and there are only about 400-500 Sumatran tigers left in the world.
