There is some disagreement regarding the world’s smallest sea, since the parameters of what constitutes an ocean are somewhat ambiguous. However, general consensus grants the title of World’s Smallest Sea on the Sea of Marmara, located in Turkey between the Aegean and Black sea. Though the sea is small as regards surface area (4,382 square miles across), the Sea of Marmara is comparatively deep (4,446 feet deep).
