    The smallest penguin species is, interestingly enough, called the Little Penguin (also Little Blue Penguin). It is only 35 cm tall! They reside in various places near Australia.

    The Fairy, a.k.a. the Little Blue penguins. They are about 2 pounds and 16 or 17 inches tall, and live on the shores of Tasmania, Southern Australia, and New Zealand.
