Slow-release fertilizers are made up of organic, natural or recycled materials, which makes them healthy for the environment. “They also release the appropriate amount of nutrients to your vegetables and flowers without wasting material or requiring frequent reapplication.” They also tend to stay in your garden longer as compared to the quick-release fertilizers that are easily washed off by sprinklers or excessive watering. Slow-release fertilizers may seem more costly but they are good investments as they work better in the long run.
