The Ford Focus and Chevrolet Volt both use Lithium-ion batteries and electric motors. Other than that, there are several differences. The Chevrolet Volt is designed to go about 40 miles on its all-electric range before switching to gas while the Ford Focus goes 100 miles or more on electricity and does not use gas at all. The Ford Focus also has some high-tech apps to go with it.
