A Barn Owl is a predator, and keeps the rodent population of their respective ecosystems in check.
Barn Owls eat small mammals such as rats, mice, voles, lemmings, shrews, bats, and rabbits. Their prey tends to be nocturnal like the owls. They are excellent rodent exterminators.
