What role did Halliburton play in the gulf oil spill?

Halliburton is a contracting company that was brought in by BP to pour concrete for the oil well. After a well is drilled it is cased and cemented. The cement is used to prevent any oil or gas from seeping out of the well.

Halliburton has also been accused of destroying documents that prove that the cement they used war poor and prone to failure.
