    The Rocky Mountain Institute is an organization that is attempting to lead the modern world away from dependency on fossil fuels by practicing “natural capitalism” economics, conservation and carbon neutrality just to name a few. They are also a big name in the electric car and renewable energy game. It was founded by Amory Lovins, an Oxford graduate, in the 1980’s.

    The Rocky Mountain Institute aims to combine capitalism with green living into a business model called natural capitalism. They focus on making the world a better place not only through prosperity and economic progression, but also through green living and sustainability. They endorse businesses taking the environment into account when they make business decisions, and act as a consultant to businesses looking to develop more productive and efficient methods of working.
