While salmon stocks tend to be declining across the globe, they are still abundant in many regions of Alaska. In particular, the Kenai, Copper, and Bristol Rivers are teaming with fish and provide for much of the world’s supply. The fisheries management system in Alaska is so efficient, it is seen as setting the example for the rest of the government’s sustainable programs.
