Suriname, formerly Dutch Guyana, located in South America on the Atlantic coast has several resources they export. 85 percent of its exports are from the mining industry including alumina, gold and oil. Due to its location off of the Atlantic Ocean it also has fishing and shrimp industry as well as exporting timber.
Suriname has timber, hydropower, fish, kaolin, shrimp, bauxite, gold, and small amounts of nickel, copper, platinum, and iron ore.
