In the United States, Hydropower is the most used renewable energy. Hydropower is when water is used to generate electricity. Most plants for hydropower use dams to hold water, which when released go through turbines, making them spin which turns the generator creating electricity. 7% of the electricity used by the US is made this way.
The other top renewable energy’s used are Biomass, Geothermal, Wind and Solar.
