Borneo has the world’s fastest disappearing rainforest.  It also seems like Papua New Guinea has some of the fastest disappearing rainforest in the world as well.  Most of this is due to illegal logging.

Deforestation is a serious problem in all rainforests, but in 2005, the Amazonian was declared to be fastest-disappearing rainforest on Earth. The Amazon covers nearly 60% of Brazil, and is highly biodiverse. Losing it would be doing a great disservice to our planet, as well as ourselves.
