    Rainforest Action Network, or RAN, is an organization that works to save the rainforests, as well as the people who inhabit forested areas, and the surrounding ecosystems.  RAN attempts to transform the global marketplace through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action.  The organization was founded in 1985, and is currently headed in San Francisco.

    Also, the office staff and volunteers of RAN act aggressively in their campaigns to represent concerned citizens, as they believe that a sustainable world can be realized in the near future.  Their strategy employs hard-hitting marketing to push corporations to reconcile profits with greener appproaches to business and development.
