What is the purpose of flies in the environment?

    Flies are very important for the ecosystem, because they consume and eliminate dead bodies of animals. They are also essential in conversion of feces and decaying vegetation. Flies are also food sources for some animals, and some flies also help in pollination. These are the positive impacts of them. 

    They can spread diseases because of their habit of consuming dead animals.
