The two most popular complaints about windmills are the noise levels and they are eyesores. A farmer in Wisconsin complained that stray voltage damaged its dairy production and hurt its herd. Scientists have discovered that windmills have a negative effect on bird’s migration patterns. Initatially, start-up costs for windmills are very expensive. Most energy grids need to be in open spaces and are too far away from where it is needed.
There have been reports that windmills have been causing problems for farmers by means of the stray voltage that occurs around its surface area. The stray voltage ultimately ends up affecting the farmers’ herd and can even lead to problems such as reduced milk production.
