Probiotic foods have living microorganisms, usually bacteria, that are similar to the microorganisms found in the human digestive system. They are commonly referred to as “good bacteria” and “friendly bacteria”. Some foods that contain probiotics are; yogurt, miso, tempeh, fermented and unfermented milk, and some soy drinks and juices.
