The primitive food movements is a movement of people across the US eating more and more “pre-industrial” food in their diets. Basically it is people trying to eat less processed foods and more whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and meats. It means more cooking from scratch and less foods with preservatives.
This is a movement to bring the diet back to what it looked like before the industrial revolution of agriculture. It encourages eating local, organic foods and some people take it as far as eating raw meats like ancient cavemen would have. In general, I believe it is a movement to avoid consumption of highly processed foods which can contain a lot of sodium and preservatives.
