There are many many fish species that have been over fished and some are on the brink of collapse because of the fishing industry. Salmon is one, Many species of Tuna, Sharks, Red Snapper, Swordfish, Orange Roughy, and King Crab to name a few. Check out the Sea Food Watch by the Monterey Bay Aquarium to get a list for your region of sea food that are on the green (good), yellow (ok), or red (don’t eat it!) Lists. You can download and print out a pocket guide for your wallet. Or if you have a smart phone you can download the app and have the whole list at your finger tips right there at the table.
