It’s the fleece material you’re likely familiar with from jackets, blankets, etc. It’s synthetic and can be made from recycled plastics, thus making it a possible eco-friendly option, but don’t assume the fleece blanket on sale at Target is produced in an environmentally friendly way. It’s most often compared to wool, but is different in many ways: it’s very flammable and it does not absorb water.
