Plant based plastics are products made of plants or vegetables, instead of harmful plastics. They are often made of corn, cotton, or soy. Almost anything made of plastic can be created with these other plant products. They are often biodegradable (unlike plastic), though it’s still controversial because of cost of production and the amount of years it actually takes to biodegrade (corn can take up to 100 years!)
