In our own solar system, Mars is most similar to Earth, the main difference being that Mars resembles a depleted version of our planet. In outer space, scientists have recently found an “exoplanet” that is more similar to Earth than any of the other 160 that have been discovered. Only 5 times the size of Earth, “OGLE-2005-BLG-290Lb” is 25 light years away in our own galaxy and takes 10 years to complete a revolution around its star. It was discovered in 2006.
