Physical science also encompasses disciplines like astronomy, atmospheric science and geography. Topics of study within physical science subjects include electrodynamics, thermodynamics, optics, antibiotic chemistry, fluid dynamics, mechanics, environmental change, fossil studies and drug discovery. Physical scientists might research the formations of black holes in the early universe, the magnetic effects of light or mercury contamination.
