    As of 2010, China is the largest producer of agriculture, with an output rate of 599.582 billion US dollars a year. Next is the European Union with 293.080 billion US dollars, India is third with 284.524 billion US dollars and then the USA comes in fourth with 161.236 billion US dollars. The total world output of agriculture is 3,585.829 billion dollars, so that means that in 2010, the US produces about 4.5% of the world’s food supply. Yet while the US may produce that much food, the US wastes as much of 30% of that food, some $48.3 billion dollars according to Environment News Service.
