What percentage of the U.S. is wetlands? They’re beautiful, but other than being habitat to plants and animals, why are they so important to humans?

    Wetlands are important to humans because they filter water that ends up in resevoirs. They also absorb impact from big storms along the coasts. They are important for climate and flood regulation. Check out the paper linked below for more info on wetlands and humans.
