Battery cages are a tool used by many companies to have low cost eggs with high profit.  Ninety-eight percentage of all American eggs are harvested utilizing battery cages.  In this practice, chickens are kept in incredibly small spaces, are underfed, and mutilated.  This is a highly profitable, yet completely despicable practice.
